parking enough for maybe 12 cars wonderfull walk 40 minutes
Ardmore point excellent for fishing from although a
20 minute walk required..plenty of camping space...........views across the clyde estuary
to port glasgow...............views along the clyde up the gareloch not
to be missed. The geology of Ardmore Point shows an unconformity - there is evidence of Old Red Standstone deposits
and New Red Standstone - but the middle period is missing completely!
The view from Ardmore is quite stunning - right down the Clyde Estuary!
